A simple guide to give your Fury Friends a pamper day

Dogs love to be pampered just as much as we do! It’s not just nice for them to get the pamper, this will benefit you as well.. this will stop your pooch’s fur from smelling and keep them smelling nice and fresh with a silky coat. This is a simple guide to give your Fury Friends a pamper day!

Step 1-

Start off by letting your pooch burn off some energy. This could be playing ball with them, playing with their favourite toy. You could even play hide & seek with treats for them... ( hide the treats round house/garden and let your dog find them). This is a great game for them to play as it burns lots of energy and it gets their brain working!

You want to let them burn off some energy so this will make the pamper day easier for you!

Step 2-

It’s always best to give your dogs coat a little brush through before proceeding with anything else. This is to ensure you get read of any knots in the fur or anything else they might have been rolling around in haha!

Step 3-

You can now run a bath, make sure it isn’t too warm for them though. It needs to be lukewarm if its too hot or cold it could be a big shock to their system. If your dog is a little nervous at bath time, it’s great to reward them with some of their treats while in the bath. This is to keep them nice and relaxed.

Here is a list of a few of the best dog shampoos:

- WAHL dry skin and itch relief shampoo (for overall use)

- Isle of dogs everyday deep cleaning shampoo (for deep cleaning)

- Earth bath oatmeal & aloe pet (shampoo & conditioner)

- Tropiclean papaya and coconut luxury (2-in-1)

- Best mild tear shampoo (burts bees natural)

- Best smelling (honey colloidal oatmeal shampoo)

- Yumove 9 great for dry, irritated, dandruff odours)

Step 4-

Once you have shampooed your fury dogs, to help them relax a little more you could give them a massage. Massaging your dog can reduce stress and anxiety, decrease pain, increase their circulation, and strengthen the bond between you and your dog.

Don’t forget a nice cosy towel for your pooch to snuggle up in when they have finished in the bath. Give them a rub down with the towel and you could also brush through their coat again to make sure you it’s nice a smooth.

Step 5

The last step to ensure your dog has had a lovely relaxing pamper day is, getting yourselves and your dog’s favourite snack. Then pop and film on and have a snuggle with them!

I hope this helped some of you have a nice pamper day with your fury friends. Please feel free to drop us a message if you would like any more tips.
